Just make sure you don't renew them next year and cry AGAIN.

not much reseller value.

maybe $10-$25 for domain sellers and maybe considerably more to retailers. But you have to find them. Not an easy task.

I thought so much, but maybe in a year or two *.ws will have more value? Just like *.us and *.info were not very valuable a few years ago?
Would it really be a waste of money to renew them?
(sorry if answering that is like talking to a wall, but I really want to know ;-)
Thanks

.US and .INFO did not exist a few years ago. .US just celebrated its 1 year anniversary. There is also a world of difference between those two extensions and the country code for Western Samoa (.WS). Yes, it would really be a waste of money to renew them if you are doing it with the idea that you can resell them some day. .WS is nearly impossible to sell. I don't think that will ever change, unless Western Samoa somehow becomes one of the world's leading economic markets.

generally .WS has virtually no value in reseller communities

one can, of course, use any extension to develop a site from scratch, but you would have an uphill job

despite that, I would say that biker.WS is such a hot second level name that it might sell for mid $## even at a reseller forum (there is one member here who is focusing on biking and motorbikes at this time and might possibly be interested in it. i will send him a PM about this thread)

thanks, great informative responses!
But there must be a few people who like me would rather own a generic .ws then an alternate crappy .com. Maybe I'll get lucky.

I know that .ws originally stood for Western Samoa, but now even on the official .ws site, .ws is advertised to be the accronym of Web site, which will hopefuly catch on!? (but from what I've been reading I'm not counting on it)
I sure am glad I didn't waste more money on similar domains!
Again, thanks for the responses!

I asked that question of the "experts" here on Misc, I did not get any response. I just park em and see!

Color.ws gets 20 hits per day not huge by any means but it is .ws, I have no idea why!

domaindirk: most of my .ws were picked up from drops over two days and registered at the .ws registrar, or at names4ever.com

I don't have any details about traffic because I'm not sure of the most economical way to attain it.
Momentarily the names are simply parked. However I can change the DNS entry, but don't know what to change it to?? Any help is appreciated!

dotus: care to share what .ws you have sold and for how much?
