Let's say you owned two great generic domain names: the singular version and the plural version of a 2-word domain. Both have .com extensions. Both pertain to a broad industry (eg online deals). Would it be unwise to use the singular version to target one sub-niche of the online deals industry and use the plurual version to target another separate sub-niche? For example, they're both online deal oriented sites - the singular version is dedicated to deals for laptops and the plural version is dedicated to deals for office supplies. This way you could capitalize on two possible lucrative markets instead of one.
Or would it be best to use the plural and singular version together to target the same sub-niche? Eg the singular version 301 redirects to the plural version. This way if someone accidentally types in the singular version when they mean to type in the plural version, they will simply be redirected to the correct one.
What would you do?
Please let me know if you need me to clarify anything.
Thanks!
