Just be prepared for BFD to accept your offer and then decide to re-appraise and more than double the price before delivering it to you.

The best way and possibly only way is to simply complete their form and pay the asking price if its a good name for you.
That is what I did recently, paying their often quoted price of $888., as negotiating with them is very slow and tough to do because they are usually quite firm about pricing, especially on names under $1000.
