What's the reason why people cannot post domains that they don't own for appraisal?

Just wondering, because I do buy domains for projects. It doesn't make sense to me why I cannot get a professional opinion on the value of the domain before I make the purchase or submit a reasonable offer.

What if I have premission from the owner of the domain first, can I then post it on the appraisal for an quick evaluation?

Thanks.

Members have asked for appraisals on domains lited in the sale forum, and domains that are in negotiations with other members, etc, ruining some deals. For this reason, and others, we do not allow it.

If someone else liked the offer they might take up on it before you!
