What's the story with NIS.com spam?

Hey Guys,

Anyone know the story with NIS.com? I was spammed about the auction yesterday (nothing new) but upon checking the WHOIS it looks like the name is controlled by DigiPawn. I understand how their business works and why they would auction this name, but are they really email spamming about it too? If anyone wants to correct me, please do.
