Taiyuan.com must have gone to auction at least 4 times so far, if not more. Yet, every time it ends, the high bidder with a bid of approximately $5,000 never gets the name. The domain goes back to auction.

Is this domain "red hot" ?

I was getting sick of seeing that domain atop the NameJet lists.. Their was some "law" type domain that was up daily as well...

If the domain has a NPB, it would go to the Second Highest Bidder and down the ladder until somebody paid.

I think somebody must of got stuck with it now, as I have not seen it listed today. (thank god)

But whoever bids, they place a $5,009 bid each time. I think they do that to keep out anyone else not willing to pay with a wire transfer.

auction end ??

Sure enough it's back on the chopping block with $5,011 high bid LOL

What I mean is, what's so special about this apparent city in China?

The city has a population of 3 million and housing prices have reached 20000 RMB/m, roughly equal to $300/ft.

Taiyuan.com and AskMeLaw.com are back on top of NJ's Pre-Release section again.. :sigh2:

Yeah, I know....someone plays some odd games.

The domain was never in an auction.
This is just a bug in namejet. The domain appears every day in the pre-release list but never goes to auction.

So is it not in pre-release mode?

It was supposed to be but it is "stuck" before auction for weeks.
There are other names as well that I see every day...

I believe I read somewhere that this is a Tucows auction, and their "deal" with Namejet is that these auctions stay up there until someone bids more than the 'reserve' that keeps appearing.

It's just an expired domain. Quality Book owned it, it expired and people keep not paying for it. Then the auction reruns. Why NJ keeps running it, and running it... I don't know.

If it was just one domain, I would say it was a glitch but several keep showing back up.

HHHmmm Like I said...
It was NEVER on auction.

Yet another Namejet glitch.

I bid on this domain when it first expired. I remember the domain went into auction and keep being returned. I thought if you did not pay for a domain you would not be able to bid again for the domain.
