Where GoDaddy Stands Makes Me Sick...

When you let others decide where your freedom ends, you've already lost it.

NoDaddy - all the way.

This statement is so broad, Are you referring to lawmakers as well?, would they be violating our freedom by passing laws prohibiting the possession or display of child porn?

The act of what was posted on that site was illegal, I don't understand how anyone could be in opposition of Godaddy closing it down.

GoDaddy has some very serious issues to deal with and needs to refocus their attention on their customers as a whole rather than one site, one $2.6 million dollar super bowl ad ran twice, one set of large hooters, and one Orange County Chopper that I and the other GoDaddy customers paid for.

I hate people that think they know everything.

GoDaddy can do whatever it wants with its money. If Bob Parsons wants to charge you an arm and a leg to fund his Super Bowl campaigns, take your business elsewhere.

So much pointless bitching and complaining. You don't like what they are doing? Stop doing business with them.

I know what you mean...education should be infectious. Wish it was.

Yeah, they can do anything they want with their money. That is why they have withdrawn their IPO three times running. Revenues are up, but yet to show a profit. Can't very much attract investors on Wall Street without being profitable. Damn, there I go knowing everything. My bad. I thought it was called being informed.

Oh, by the way, I am taking my business elsewhere. And from the sound of things, there are a great many also.

Speaking of bitching and complaining, when was the last (or perhaps the first) time that you added anything constructive to any forum issue or matter? Seems like each and everytime you weigh in on something you are doing the bitching, complaining, the know it all, and picking spats without any supporting claim or basis to your arguement.

Hell, I can't really fault you. You have an opinion too. Like this:

You make me sick.
Seems like everyone has an opinion. They're just damn stupid if that opinion differs from yours.

Why are people so mad about this?
Excellent point. But perhaps the person who posted the originating comments was referring to numerous issues and complaints with GoDaddy of late. My, why jump to conclusions simply because, again, there was something in his/her comments you didn't like?

And how many domain names did you bid on, win, pay for, tie your funds up, get lied to about "owner reclaimed", and waste time on trying to sort out? Please, step up and and step forward. We could use the support. Oh, I forgot...you support GoDaddy in this matter. That's right, take our business elsewhere.

By the way, I failed to catch that in the TOS. You know, the part of selling expired domain names that were not expired and the later sections of selling domain names that are actually at other registrars. Can you point that out in the TOS for me? Better yet, can you point that out to the fine folks at GoDaddy and TDNAM? Oops, there I go again. Pointless bitching and complaining. What's that? It wasn't your money? Oh, I see. So to you it is pointless. Good point!

The site had some dangerous information on it and Godaddy pulled the plug.
Of course, you visited that site. What's that? You didn't. Never heard of it until it made the news? Oh, you read about it somewhere. See, education can be a good thing. And, by golly, you seem to know more than anyone else regarding the matters of everyone else's own business and affairs.

For an minute there I thought I sensed a shred of emotion and you were going to offer something constructive to the topic. Turns out I was wrong. Just the usual sarcasm.

...and you better not be plugging your own site in this section...
That's telling them. GRRRRR! GT showing some bite in that bark. Grit those teeth. GRRRRR! You go, boy.

Seriously, go.

Ok, so he has tunnel vision on every subject discussed it seems, but he's not a bad kid, you gotta give the youngsters a little slack! They do mean well..sometimes. lol

;)

I think you're seeding my post with broad speculations as well. Let's focus on the case, which is simple:

1. Something of dubious content appeared on a web site whose registrar is (was?) GoDaddy
2. MySpace contacts GoDaddy - who DOES NOT host the domain, nor did they provide DNS services to the domain.
3. GoDaddy decides, based on their own agenda, to hijack the domain by altering the DNS. The domain owner was given, according to the statement issued, 5 minutes of response time. Signs where a democracy fails include the deviation from the due process, including the assumption of guilt prior to providing proof; the very opposite of what is expected.

You need to understand that regardless of what you or I deem to be immoral, illegal, unethical, insulting or abusive, there is a law AND a process in place. The purpose of a Democracy is to ensure that the process is in place at all times.

For what it's worth...Godaddy was VERY wrong, maybe not in moral concept but in their action..they are not the judge and the jury.

After reading the latest news about GoDaddy and their unscrupulous actions I hope people finally wake up and smell the coffee...

Business practices like theirs makes one shake their head and think again...

See You Later GoDaddy... I am moving and will suggest everyone else to do the same...

Support www.NoDaddy.com
Based on what the above initial statement says, I don't see how we got to where we are now in this thread.

Seems like a rather broad statement regarding perhaps more than one issue with Godaddy. Again, speculation on what the author was inferring or referring to. Anyone contact the OP?

And yet some disagree with his opinion because it is not inline with another's opinion?

And the author does not support one site but supports another and the lynch mob shows up?

How in the hell did child pornography come into play here?

Wow! I thought forums were for the exchange of ideas and enrichment. Where do we check out our dueling pistols? :fencing:

Game, set and match to Circa...

Congratulations, you understand the rules of Tennis

I didn't say GoDaddy was an admirable company. I just think you should spend less time complaining about them. I don't have time to post 100 line replies...but you can spend as much time as you want on these fruitless pursuits.

wheres the fruit?

wheres the fruit?

I'm partial to mangoes myself...not sure when I can find some at this time of the evening though... :-#:

If you don't like Godaddy then don't do business with them. PERIOD.

Otherwise, stop the endless bitching and whining.

This is just a variation on the "I hate Microsoft" theme. The big guy always gets the hate. Live with it or get out of the way girls.

Bob Parsons called, he said he missed your butt-kissing. Please give him a call.

Do you have something relevant to add or just moronic little spews?
Get over your pathetic little jealous hatred and move on.

If you don't like Godaddy don't use them.
Pretty simple isn't it?

Oh did you get upset?

I am sorry to hear that.

This is a thread about serious issues that GoDaddy's policies and hypocritical public facade have brought forward. If you are a GoDaddy fan-boi, I am sooooo sorry to hear your feelings are hurt.

Not!

I'm gonna have to agree with both sides here. Godaddy sucks. But if you're going to complain with your mouth in a public forum you better be complaining with your dollars as well.

It's like the threads complaining about SEDO. If you have a better option, take it. If you don't have a better option, there's really no room to complain.

I have no domains left at GD. But I used them long enough to have a strong personal opinion on their practices - a projection of Bob Parsons' hyperbloated ego.

"What is a not joke?"

This suit is NOT! black

That movie, Borat, was a waste of time :D

We should all boycot everyone and then all business will cease to exist! yay! World Peace, problem solved...we could all go back to a barter system and trade sea shells and beads for everything. I'm so smart. :ok:
