I am just thinking how people prefer domain names.

Which do you prefer between prefix .com domains like " isomething.com or esomething.com " compared with something.org or something.net ?

For me, I prefer isomething.com or esomething.com for one word common dictionary names.

What is your preference?

I prefer word.net/.org. IMO there are very few words which are suitable for i/e-"branding".

isearch.com sold for $300,000

I think it is better than search.net.

iword>eword>.net>>>>>.org

caveat: it has to make sense

isearch is a good example. icars.com vs cars.net or irussia.com v russia.net, not so good....

Depends on the use and or word/brand. In most cases for me i & e+ .com for me.

if it is a consumer keyword like "coffee" or "computer", i prefer the .org and then the .net; but, if it is virtual keyword or action keyword, the i or e name may be better.

also, from experience, we are selling more word.net/.org than i* or e* names. "the customer is always right..."
