I just started a site, which I registered a new name for "myecovermaker.com" - as the name suggest, it makes ecovers (ebook covers)

Although the name is suitable for the purpose of the site, but I am having second thoughts, I have another domain which I have sitting around years, is more generic call "sitefront.com"

Should I use sitefront.com instead so it can have potential to expand to other areas such as offering free website graphics etc... ? sitefront sounds like a good idea because it suggests 'your website's front page'.

The reason for this way of thinking is because, take digitalpoint.com for example, they added a forum subdomain and is huge although their main site is rather primitive looking, I can add forum.sitefront and still sound good, I cant exactly add 'forum.myecovermaker.com' can I?

myecovermaker.com is still very new so it's not too late to switch I guess.

ps. the current sitefront.com site is dead

I don't understand, are these covers for electronic book readers like the kindle?
Or are these icons for the books that are on such devices?
I have not checked them, but what about:
ebookcover.com
ecover.com
ebindry.com
ebind.com
readercover.com
kindlecover.com

Best Wishes,

Better use SiteFront as it is brandable and memorable, i agree, at the same time suits your purpose well.

Myecover.com is obviously a waste of saliva. lol.

myecovermaker.com is a bit much IMO.. I would go for the shorter more brandable name... or perhaps another name altogether.

As long as you are going to develop, it doesn't really make a difference in terms of SEO. Good content will override any marginal benefit you get from a good keyword in the domain. That being said, I would suggest you factor 2 things into your decision. 1) What domain would make it sound most credible to entice customers to click? (in this case, a domain that is descriptive does help when they don't know who you are)... and 2) What is more memorable and enables you to build a brand? (eBookStyles.com vs. BuyeBookCovers.com) eBookStyles.com is available fyi...grab it before someone else does..:)
