I am thinking of domains ending with "site" or "website"

e.g.

moneysite.com or moneywebsite.com

Which is better?

For me , I think moneywebsite.com is better.

Any opinions?

IMO "site" - it is shorter.

But, I think it would be better to have the keyword itself in another TLD if available (assuming the .com is taken). .org, .net, .us, .co.uk, .info, etc..

When it comes to 2-word domains then site is a better choice. It just sounds better and is easier to say.

I like "web" or "net" at the beginning or end much better...I don't really like "site" or "website" at the end, but if I had to pick...I think I would go for the shorter name...with "site" at the end.

I have several instances of both combinations of the same keywordsite/keywordwebsite, the keywordsite always gets better traffic.

As time goes on, language develops into shorter words and slang that becomes widely accepted. This is true with "website" turning into "site" or "web". I like "site" better but "website" can be used as an alternative if the "site" version is taken.

... website
... web
... site
... area
... bay
... circle
... ring

End users probably don't care much about the latter part.

I think "site" is better and assume you will lose some traffic to that one if you were to select the "website version.

NAMEwebsite is worse
NAMEsite is not so hot, but a bit better
NAMEweb is much better
and NAMEanotherkeyword is even better
and of course, NAME is the best

No offense, not personal, but ...
Imho it all depends mostly upon web content and keywords.
The name matters so little.
Why is web better than ...
Why is name better than ...
