i use sedo's service

why?

because i prefer a service that takes control of the domain during the transaction process.

i have used namedrive rep's as brokers in the past though, but the payment process went thru escrow.com

Moniker Escrow

Their fees are decent and I've never had any problem with them.

Escrow.com
My first domain sale was for 15K. Yeppers, 15K - - not "the fish was this big" kinda 15K . Even more crazy is that it was a year old hand reg with a sorry little site on it. The sale story can be summed up by saying I capitalized on corporate carelessness; they HAD to have the exact domain. (I had nor ever had any relationship whatsoever to the corporation -- just got lucky post extensive research in a very tedious needle in a haystack method of name searches I came up with). The domain story may spark interest and I do plan on telling it. Just give me a little time as I am still sitting on the .net and .info and I know they will come calling down the road with lesser offers for the other 2 extensions. (it is a weird situation I promise I will expound on it after the info and net are gone)

Anyway I was mystified about the sale/transfer process, it was my first kiss and I was clueless times a gazillion. My 3 concerns were
1) I would make a mistake that would lead me to losing the domain
2) I would transfer the domain and not get paid
3) Everyone involved would realize I was/am an idiot, LOL

The buyer suggested escrow.com.
Escrow made the sale so easy. At the time, as I can only describe myself as ignorant/naive, I recall being so thankful for escrow's complete instructions/explanations. I also liked the way I could log in (truth be told, every five minutes or so. Now give me a break on the every 5 min login -- I was soooo excited), check on the status of the sale, and convince myself that yes, I was getting 15K for something that I had bought for 10 bucks the year before.
I can not comment on any of the other services -- my first experience has made me an escrow customer forever.
If someone is new to selling and they find themselves with a nice size sale, I would suggest escrow all the way.

Dang -- after reading that back, maybe I should hit them up for a job

Moniker's escrow.

why?
Most of my names are there
The fees are very reasonable
They take control of the name until the deal is done.
Fast, fast, with no problems
