whois privacy is not allowed for .CA. This will lead to deletion of your domain.

That is not correct. However, if you are not qualified to hold a .ca domain registration, you are not permitted to continue to hold a registration and it will be subject to deletion.

Private WHOIS does not reflect on your domain status, although a number of non-qualified registrations have been made using the privacy option, so some people may have assumed that the two aspects are connected when they are not.

I prefer privacy on...that way you get less spam from other domainers.

I keep it public - if someone wants to buy my domain they can at least contact me!
