That's a good opportunity for someone to get dugg. I'm pretty sure a decent written story/blog post about that can get dugg - if it hasn't yet

wow that's crazy. what are the legalities involved in this? Say someone wins the domain in a 2k bid. can digg legally just seize the domain back?

Pool won't refund, and yes they can lose the domain and money

Possibly you might be able to take a court case against Pool and say
they sold you a trademark domain. I think the Court might rule
favourably ??. But best steer clear in first place I would say.

Yeah it seems the best thing to do would be very careful about this. However, i just checked digg.net... and noticed it's being squatted on as well. Why hasn't digg acquired the .net if that's the case then? But in the case of a dropping .org, digg very well might be able to. It'll be very interesting to see what happens to the new owner of this domain.

haha, no man. the correct word is 'dig'. altho i always chuckle when i see lots of webmasters using the word 'dig' and spelling it with the extra g. ah the power of branding.

I actually use Google - make search for a word and google gives suggestion and search for digg no suggestion given, therefore this word got into dictionary

they can make it a porn site. DigGirls DigGuys or for Grave Diggers. DigGraves? lol well the lame part is that these aftermarket sites get to walk away with the money. I saw BizRate.net and .org go to auction on namejet and i called the company to tell them and they really didnt care.
