I’ve been working in the online space since the 80’s with bulletin board systems and modems that went at 300/300 baud (if you don’t understand that then you’re young). I remember developing the first banner advertisements for my BBS out of the ANSI character set.

With the advent of the Internet I then built up and later sold my own ISP. I was the vice-chairman of the Internet Industry Association (iia.net.au) for a number of years and chaired the online advertising task force for setting online advertising standards for Australia. For the past 13 years I’ve been working in the domain industry. So why am I telling you this?
