WIBRO is The Next BIG Thing in the "Wireless Broadband Internet" Technology. Beginning with next year millions of customers will be connected to the Internet via the new WiBRO Service.
WiBro is coming. We’ve heard that for a long time, but it is official now. The Korean creation which provides super-fast portable internet is now an international standard. The standard was approved recently at the IEEE 802.16e conference in Taiwan (bet that was a party) and the finalized standard will be published in early December.
What this means is that there will be no more discussion about changing the standard. Work is now being done to ensure compatibility regardless of the manufacturer of the equipment.
This is just the latest in what will be a long series of announcements, changes and standards as we move to the next generation of standards and everyone fights to get their preferred standard to the forefront.
