.hk is not even half good as .cn since the market is MUCH smaller and the fee higher. But that's just my own two cents ... from someone who had lived in Hong Kong for some years. But yes, if it is a strong keyword, esp. in emerging industries, it may be worth holding onto, for a while.

Agreed with nameslave. It is good for building a website for just the reg fee, but market is relatively small. There are many good .hk available like laptop.hk, probably you can start selling laptops also?

OK, I agree that the domain name alone has not so much potential. But with an small portal there could be a lot of targeted traffic. I heared that WLan is very popular in HK, additionally there was a Wimax event in HK in january. I think there is a hughe potential in 12-24 month.

The Internet is still a play thing in Hong Kong. Reason: most people there are not comfortable reading English, and there is not enough Chinese websites with localized content (those websites from China are culturally and linguistically remote to them). So instead of being a useful business communication or info searching tool, the net is mostly just for fun.
