Two parts to this post. Any help on either will be appreciated:

1) Appraise, please

2) I never, knowlingly, buy or sell a name that infringes on a trademark. That is why I have not listed this name for sale, though I have had it many years. There are all sorts of windows information sites on the net. And there is the glass category, which is huge by itself...therefore, I really don't think there is a trademark problem, but what do others think?

Thanks,
db

I think it's potential trouble with the way MS chase any "violations".

$300.

As far as trademark concerns, that is another story. It really depends on the use. For example, I used to own funxbox.com, which was highly endorsed by Microsoft, is even listed on the XBox.com site as a link.

On another forum a member raised the issue of a domain name containing the word "windows" and which was a forum for discussing the Windows software. Microsoft had written to him demanding he transfer the name to them. There were some flagrant violations in this particular case but the letter from Microsoft's Legal Dept contained the following excerpt:-

"5. Refrain from registering the name WINDOWS, or any other trade mark owned by Microsoft, or any name which incorporates such a name, as a business name, company name, domain name, trade mark or any other name.
Please provide us with the signed Notice of Transfer, ....... "

The forum won't be too much of a problem for Microsoft if you do it correctly. Don't use any windows logos, or anything that you would see owned by microsoft.
