As per status update form Mike Mann (from mikemann.com), his associate, the owner of wireless.com is selling it and Mike is helping him promote the sale around by looking for telecommunication company representatives.

Does anyone know of the connection between this?

Check screenshot attached here: link

Any idea on a price? I assume this is an x,xxx, xxx domain...?

I can always ask.. no doubt it would be somewhere in 6-7 figures if he's looking for big companies :D

WirelessPhone.com sold for $355,000 in June 2006

Wireless.com is a $x,xxx,xxx asset

but only for telecom companies being an end user buyer, aint it??

Does anyone even use the term anymore? I no longer hear it around here.

I hear and see the term all the time. It captures cellphones, smartphones, kindles and whatever new device might come along (including appliances). It's the name of the technology, like is it a plug in device or wireless.

arnt wifi & wireless almost same or are same??

I think wireless goes beyond just being mobile or using a laptop in a cafe. There are many devices coming out that will have wireless capabilities, like appliances and monitoring devices, where you will be able to monitor their performance from afar with wireless technology. Like being able to turn your oven on during your drive home, so you can just throw the dinner in when you get there, or monitoring an oil pipeline without having to send a tech out to the site. Wireless covers a huge amount of technology, it might become an obsolete word when we just get used to everything being that way. It's also the name of a magazine.

A giant name and good assessment.

Now I have a wireless printer and set up a home network
Now there are wireless recharger strips that recharge any device

I see wireless being promoted very heavy on products that are not traditionally wireless.

This is an 8 figure name to the right enduser because of all the electronics industry applications, not just the telecomms.

well said and in less words than it took me.

big name
high xxx,xxx to 1.5 million range imo

I agree with the high $xxx, xxx to low $x,xxx, xxx evaluation. Wireless cover many things now other than just cellular. Wireless printers, wireless speakers, wireless chargers, plus a few more. Excited to see the progress of this...

1.8 to 3.5 M imo

$10 million plus. This baby is waiting for an executive with @@ to grab it as a valuable corporate asset.

appraisal thread much? lol thanks everyone for their input, however who would want to spend that kind of money, I mean mil+?
