The keyword here is toll-free ... and waiting time, of course. ;)

That's fairly insignificant vs the great savings.

Most of us have free long distance service, or maybe $20 mo flat fee, or less than 5c minute. Say you pay for the call and on hold 6 minutes and the support takes 5 minutes (that is typical at GoDaddy, in my experience).

So what is the big deal about that since so many of us may have basically free long distance and even if paying your call costs peanuts vs $35 reg fees?

One of the reasons registrars like NetSol and Register.com charge as high as $35 a year
is because of their 24/7 toll-free customer support. I doubt you'll find any registrar which
offers that yet charges lower than $25 a year.

Hope this helps.

One of my clients tried to transfer his domain away from Register last summer. We sent may transfer requests which Register denied. He spent many hours on their customer support line with no help. The domain is now expired and we are now in the position of trying to catch it upon deletion. Thanks  Register!

Worst registrar is livedoor.com followed by itsyourdomain.com
They should really call it itsmydomain.com since they make it nearly impossible
to get names out...

lol
Actually livedoor.com is a non-registrar!
That should also be a category here.
