i have just reged wozop.com and .info i am looking to develop into a social networking site. Just wondering if you guys thought that domain may hold any value on it's own?

If not no worries as I am looking to develop anyway, i think it is quite branable and easy to remember? Thoughts?

I don't believe i've seen any 5L non-realword ever make any money based on name alone.

Yahoo is worth something today not because of the name....but based on the company.

Thanks for feedback.
So general opinion for name as i thought reg fee. I am happy that i bought it to develop and think wozop is catchy and would be delighted if i could get a 0.001% of yahoo traffic.
Having said that the name it's self has no real value undeveloped a got an email this morning asking me to put a price on it(the .info not .com). Weird??

Rambo,

Ask him to make an offer for it...and if it's good enough...you can bump it up by including the .com.

Probably an end-user who doesn't care that ".com is king".

Just sell what he wants (the .info) and keep the .com :)

Hi Guys

I got an email off a guy saying he was interested in this domain, he was asking for me to set a price. I did he came back with a lower offer(obviously), then asks me to get an appraisal to make sure he does not over pay. Here is where I get a bit confused:?:, he approaches me, ask me to set my price then asks me to get an appraisal to make sure i don't rip him off. Surly as the buyer if he thinks that I have over priced he should be the one to get the appraisal or am i mistaken?

He also gave me a like to a "forum/blog" where he as asked this question.

Any ideas, is this common?

Thanks in Advance rambo3

It's a scam to get you to pay for worthless appraisals. Run for the hills. These scammers are all over. Their letters mostly sound a like.

Good detective work. I always google the return address, name & company as a standard background check.
Another thread mentions these scammers:

My rule of thumb is if they ask for an appraisal, I delete.
& Best of luck with your name.
