Oddly enough, it doesn't even fit Western Samoa anymore. The country itself dropped "Western" from their name in 1997 and is now called just "Samoa".
Officially, It's Western Samoa
It's been marketed as WebSite or WorldSite

In fairness, I do have some. I think good single word keywords have some value over reg fee, but it's really highly speculative. Trying to convince people the .ws actually stands for something is probably useless.
