I wont dwell on the subject, its a World War 2 Forum, visit the site and see for yourself.
http://www.ww2talk.com
I first offered this website for sale in sept last year, at that time the stats were, well you can see here.
http://dnforum.com/showthread.php?t=65998
At that time there were 500 members, 5000 posts and about 10k visitors per month.
Since then I purchased the site back as the person that bought it was just out of their depth in terms of mamanging a website, they did not keep Invision up to date and so on.
But anyway, Here it is up for sale again as I want some cash back into the melting pot.
So 9 months later what do the stats look like? (at time of posting):
Forum:
Posts - 11,626
Members - 861 (was 1387 a few days ago, I purged the non posters)
Gallery - 1145 images
Just take a look at the recent member profiles and you will see the last member ID was 1438, so about 600 were removed as they had not visited or posted in 3 months. So the remaining 861 are active and not just dead weight.
Stats:
PR4 or PR5, depends if you catch it in a good mood.
Alexa - 108,000
Webalizer - Click Here - as at 18th May 2005

This month so far:
Total visits - 15,675
Per day - 922
The rest you can see from the stats link.
Server Stats:
Currently using 400mb of space
Requires 6GB bandwidth per month
Domains:
ww2talk.com
wwiiforum.com (old name now pointing to ww2talk.com)
Software:
Invision Board 2 - paid up until May 2006
Invision Gallery - Paid up until May 2006
Invision Chat - Paid up until May 2006
Skin:
Totally unique, designed by myself, and rather good I think
Advertising:
Its been a fairly personal project I have resisted the use of advertsing so there is no revenue at all. I ran some google ads last years over DDay to contribute to charity, over 60 days I got $109.
Other notes:
We are currently running a call of duty and wolfenstien server for members only, the cost of this is $100 a quarter and its paid up until around end of July 2005. Members contributed to it. Both 12 player servers.
We have a couple of sections that are unique to us, an "on this day" section where members can add events about ww2, I designed that section. And a "stories" section as well. You can see them on the portal main page at http://www.ww2talk.com, you dont need to join to see them.
Potential:
Well as you can since I last offered this site for sale it has grown over 100% in terms of posts and members and visitors. Try finding a ww2 forum like it, bet you cant! With 30,000 visiting every month now its just getting stronger and stronger. Strong band of regular members and constant flow of new members coming into to the fold.
But its you thats looking at it so you can view the potential from your own perspective.
Sale price:
Starting Price is $5,000 not a penny less!
Please dont offer opinions on whether you think its worth it due to revenue or any other issue, if you dont like it, move on to the next thread please.
If you know anything about World War 2 and what out there on the net in terms of forums of this ilke then you know what its worth in the future.
Payment by verified paypal or escrow, fee's paid by purchaser. Other payment methods may be available, contact me.
Please note that http://www.theholocaust.co.uk is not for sale, although I may offer the ww2radio station within the price if required.
0o0 The End 0o0
I suppose its worth pointing out that 90+% of the posts are relevant to the topic, there is no mass waste of useless topics. Added to this you again need to consider that World War 2 is not a topic with a limited shelf life.
It may be worth looking at the great war forum to see how they have expanded, currently we are ahead of them in terms of size when they were the same age as us.
http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/
Nothing great about their domain name or forum design, but they are approaching 250,000 posts. Have a look around there and you will find that we have an ad on that site and we very much trade members as a result.
The potential is huge and the growth is constant.
I should also point out that the Great War Forum is World War I related.
