On www.a-free-guestbook.com webmasters can sign up for a guestbook.
Since 2005 335.000 webmasters signed up to use our service.. And 5000 new webmasters sign up each month.
www.a-free-guestbook.com was pagerank 7 last year, and is now back to pagerank 6. It ranks on nr 2 in Google.com on the keyword "guestbook".
In 5 years time 7.000.000 messages where posted in all the guestbooks together, where 2 million visitors left their email address.
The business model comes from placing advertisements in the guestbook, and letting guestbook-owners pay for an advertisement-free guestbook.
With Google adsense we made $1400 a month, but our account was suspended because some guestbooks contained content which was against the adsense TOS.
Guestbook owners can pay $10 through PayPal to have the advertisements automatically removed. This was implemented one year ago, with 1200 members using this service. This year we made an average of $1500 per month with selling ad-free guestbooks.
No Maintenance.
