E911 (Enhanced-911) The capability of a wireless carrier to send location information to public safety answering points when a 911 emergency call is received. By FCC regulation, carriers will eventually have to be able to track most of their calls to within 150 feet. Rollout of these services is expected to be completed by 2006.
