I am sure there are many pro web developers on this forum and therefore I'm sure that many of you know what XHR is.
- XHR is an API that is used by JavaScript and other web browser scripting languages to transfer XML and other text data
to and from a web server.
This is massively used and related to Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), which is very hot nowadays. Some people even talk of Ajax as Web2.0, although this isn't really true.
Examples of web applications that make use of XHR include:
Google's GMail, Meebo, Google Maps, Windows Live's Virtual Earth, the MapQuest dynamic map interface and many others!

- XHR is also short for "eXtra/eXtreme High Resolution".
Your appraisals are as usual appreciated! Thanks!
