FYI - From what I hear:

#1 - there is no authorized .XXX pre reg service.

#2 - The .XXX owners will be keeping many of the best domains for themselves.

#3 - It's not an open registration. You must be approved by the .XXX owners before you get a domain...you can't just reg one...even if it's available.

I think so 2.
Maybe we should wait till dot xxx opening for reg.

Adult biz ppl are against that project and there is no good sound from adult webmasters.
Even such organisations like:
The Family Research Council issued a statement on Friday voicing its opposition to the .xxx sponsored Top Level Domain.
AVN article - source

btw - of course owner of .xxx will reserved best words for himself.
Take a look for .tv extensions etc.

Exclusive ext's never get off the ground, cause it can never can gain enough popularity. Also if priced too high the same thing can happen.

Exactly! They aren't feeding the net. Look how many *free* .tk's there are vs $50 .cc's.

As far as pre-reg this always happens any time the slightest rumor about a new tld comes along. Thee closer a new tld gets to reality the more pre-reg'ers of widely various ethicacy come out of the woodwork.

I do look forward hopefully to .xxx's arrival though. I wouldn't bet that they'll get it right but I can dream.

Meanwhile I say we all petition icann for .crap
