A month later, and still no more details. It is hard to believe that this is a true sale.

What you urgently need to understand is when things are laid out clear for everyone to see. Actually things are about as clear as mud.

Take a look at these. Men.com apparently went for $1.32 Million four years ago.

What it means is that where it is difficult to get buyer and seller to spill all the details, it is far more likely that genuine deals are going down.

There wouldn't be a thread on this subject at all if someone close to the 'deal' hadn't 'leaked' the details of the pending sale and domain names, so it seems strange that the same person couldn't confirm the sale. I wonder why...

To add to the secrecy, IDN buyers often use anonymous whois. So not only the deals are private, you don't even know who bought them.

Open bidding and selling of high value IDN is an exception rather than the norm.
