Then step up to the plate and buy the rest of these names if you believe in them so much. :-D

He may like them, but with 1300 or so already, he might just want to diversify a bit. His buying what he did already shows his confidence, and I think he's right. I myself concentrated on the high Google and Overture number 3 letters. Even some of the less favored letters like k, j, v, or z can't be so easily dismissed if you look into it a bit. Otherwise you miss things like jpg.us (OV 32450) or wav.us (OV 38830) or ktm.us (OV 36390 a motorcycle), or that dbz.us in the post above. Run a check in Google and see what company or product is using the 3 letters. You might be surprised.

I like my ICP.us - 103,000 in Overture (thanks to the Insane Clown Posse). Picked it up for a reg fee a few days ago. :-)

I'm telling ya if you don't see or believe the trend you are in the wrong business. All 3 letter .com, .net, .org, .biz and .info are gone. There are now less that 1500 shortest .us names left. Invest now or regret later. Registration is less than $5 a year per domain - $4.95

Blink by nature is an opportunist. But, he doesn't want to buy the last batch.

He wants someone else to buy the x,y and z's. And, that will make all of the other
3 letter .us more valuable.

Unfortunately, once again. I missed the boat.

Why didn't someone tell me about the trend?

The market was created a few months back. This is just the first time someone has broadcast anything about it. A few of us didn't want the word out on these as we are still buying, and would check the threads here hoping NOT to see anything. ;-). Double edged sword as the resale prices go up, but so do the buying costs. Me, I still wanted it quiet for a while.

Correct. With the 3 letter .biz/.info elequa saw the value in the world market. I think buyers internationally (even some within the US) who may want those weird letters will go there first. With regards to US names I highly doubt any of those will contain value. Sure they might be short easy to remember names and to me that is worth paying $4.95 maybe for a dns server address or something short. I saw value in the 3-number combinations a while back for the same reasons. Without a doubt having all the names registered will boost the value of the good names which have been registered. But to simply lean on scarcity for value isn't totally prudent as I think that each name has to be analyzed individually. I do think we will be surprised by some of the top sellers in months to come. But if you are going to get in on this the getting is now. I would take a 1 in 17,600 chance of hitting a jackpot any day (plus the ability to at least double my money) than buying 5 lottery tickets. There are still some "decent" combinations available if you are looking to diversify your portfolio a little.

grabbed a few half decent ones myself since I meet the nexus requirements according to my registrar..
