The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com with high ranking sales reported in every category. We saw the 2nd biggest non .com gTLD sale of 2010, as well as the 3rd biggest .com sale year to date and the 5th highest country code sale thus far in 2010. You can get all of the details here:

It's a has-been trend. But once it's installed on someone's computer, it gives the vendor license to display all kinds of advertising and reap all kinds of data (slipped into the frequently-ignored EULA), so it's a market that has its merits.

Too bad Snapnames is given creedance by virtue of unchallenged "reported" sales data. After all, they are the admitted fraudster/shill bidder which, for at least 4 or 5 years, dishonestly bumped up bids at their auctions. Then they threw one of their employees under the bus as though that employee was the lone wolf in the scheme.

So this week they are right on top of the "sales" category, highlighted as a winner, top-dog, trustworthy as a saint.

Shlock, pure shlock.

Only if the "reported" sales price is real, not bogus or artificially/fraudulently inflated.
