I recently wanted to find out what GoDaddy charges for a .cc registration, so I hit a bunch of random keys, put ".cc" on the end, and had it checked for availability. Didn't put it in my cart.

Today, I got a wonderful email from them, titled:

FDAFDAFDJKLFJDKL.CC MAY still be available

I love the "MAY" part. Gee, maybe I should grab this domain before someone else does!

Godaddy has it's own entertaining value I must say. I was not so amused though when I used their super $1.5 .com code to buy a domain just to get a bonus site developing kit (or what) which is set to auto renewal of course. So good luck finding the cancellation button, or get ready to be billed the next month.

Yeah, I've been through that twice now, and it's a pain. But I must say that the GoDaddy phone reps have been quite willing to cancel any auto-renewing website deals & refund the money I was automatically charged for renewing them.
