.Orgs have been the only game in town this month. I have picked several up from the drops over the past couple of weeks. Considering that they are .ORGs (and the words not always a great match for the extension) do any of these stand out?

Ashleigh.org (currently popular girl's first name)

Invaluable.org

HomeRepairs.org

CarsDirect.org

GoldCards.org

DomainAuctions.org

NationalMuseum.org

SpecialEdition.org

SkinDisease.org

Microengineering.org

Also a couple of celebrity names I may develop as unofficial fan club sites (which will normally pass TM muster):

PaulMcCartney.org

NeilDiamond.org

I'll appreciate your comments on any or all of these. Just a few more days and we can start looking for .com and .net again.

No idea of value, but I think SkinDisease.org is the best as a .org National Museum is nice, but the plural would be better IMHO.

Invaluable.org would make a nice name for a site selling these other nice .orgs :) So would SpecialEdition.org :) And I suppose DomainAuctions.org as well :p

Of the others, the fan sites names look good, and I found this on Google for Ashleigh.org, but all of them are nice keywords.

my $0.02,

Cheers,
Sam

HomeRepairs.org stands out as the best of the bunch... to me at least.

Thanks viv & urltrader. It's funny because skindisease is the only one I almost passed on - just because it sounded so nasty! :)

However it does in fact match the .org perfectly, gets good search numbers and had a previous site with related content on the domain. I still wouldn't want that email address: [email protected]!

NationalMuseum.org - excellent domain, I think the best one. IMO it may be worth a grand!

SpecialEdition.org - also a good one. Could be used to promote special edition CD's LP's, books or DVD's and could easily be broadened to include hard to find media as such.

Would work superbly as reinforcement to already popular .com with loyal visitors. I think you should develop it in conjunction with musicparadise.com.

Thanks for sharing your .org finds. I must admit it is one of the best sets (assumingly assembled during the .com drop-draught) I ve come accross. :)

Thanks Monster. Your thoughts on SpecialEdition.org mirrored my own. I also like the Museum domain a lot. There is a huge number of National Museums covering every thing you can imagine. I'm sure one of them would love this name. I got four more good .ORGs in this morning's drop:

HotBodies.org
HomeFinance.org
MyPets.org
GolfTournaments.org

NationalMuseum.org is by far the best of the lot.

It could be worth a few $$$

SkinDisease.org would be best suited for .info

Good Luck with NM

Weellll Duke, your lucky streak seems to continue..

HomeFinance.org and MyPets.org are super grabs, the former would make a serious home financing advisory site (hopefully an impartial information center and not a banner farm). The latter I see as an information clearing house for pet owners, from health insurance needs to cremation services for the little ones.

The number of "national museums" is astonishing! You can find a national museum for pretty much anything you you can imagine. THat's not only in big cities. Rural folk are turning hobbies, barns and backyards into "national museums" of anything from WWII ariplane bodies to pretzel mustard flavors.

LOL Duke.
I meant that the only decent .orgs should sound like a .org.

Don't get me wrong. I think a .org regardless of name is worth much more than some of the bottom-feeder tlds.

I may be new to DNF but I've been regging names since the only game in town was Internic and it was free. A few years later it cost a $100 a year.

I still think that the top 3 tld's are still the top...as far as resellers are concerned.

But when it comes to .org's if they sound like a .com its a no-go.

Especially if your competing with the equiv .com.

Good Luck!
