I see it in the $20K - $30K range as value, but I would happily sell it for $10K.

Why in the world would you not accept an offer for that? The word doesnt stand for anything and if anything it seems if these guys owned a trademark on the name it wouldnt end well https://nimbo.earth/

Sell it..

The thing about a decline is you have to stand by your decision. Simply by asking the question it means 10k is a lot of money to you and depending on how long you have owned the domain the decision to decline is probably weighing heavy on you.

If I was in your shoes and 10k weighed on me then I would probably re-engage the client and come back at 12k to see if they accept.

Other than that, put it out of mind and wait for a higher offer to come in.

there is too much question on this, like how long u hold this one and how much u spend to acquire it, where the offer comes (in forum chat or real offer in afternic or sedo?), too much info needed to know if it is worth 10k and whether the offer valid or not in first place?

Anyway, 10k is a good deal. Why not take it

Source Google: "Nimbo-" is a prefix of Latin origin from the word nimbus, meaning "rain-bearing cloud". It is used in weather science to denote clouds that produce precipitation, such as rain, snow, or hail, and appears in names of cloud types like nimbostratus and cumulonimbus. In other contexts, "Nimbo" can also refer to a Twitch streamer, a pet's name, or a type of person combining the concepts of "nimble" and "bimbo".

In weather science:
  • The prefix "nimbo-" is a direct indicator of precipitation.

  • When combined with other cloud types, it signifies a rain-producing cloud.
  • Examples include:
    • Nimbostratus clouds: are flat, layered clouds that produce steady rain or snow.

    • Cumulonimbus clouds: are tall, puffy clouds known for producing heavy precipitation like rain, hail, or snow.
    • Domain Ownership vs. Trademark Rights

1.Owning a domain (e.g. nimbo.com) does not automatically give you trademark rights.

A trademark (e.g. NIMBO registered by nimbo.earth) gives the owner the right to prevent others from using the same or confusingly similar mark in commerce for the same or related goods/services.

      2. Timing Matters

If you registered nimbo.com before nimbo.earth applied for or used the trademark, you generally have stronger rights to keep or sell the domain.

If you registered nimbo.com after they filed for a trademark (or were already using it in commerce), they could argue you acted in bad faith (especially if you try to sell it to them at a high price).

      3. UDRP & Cybersquatting Risks

Trademark owners can file a UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) complaint if they believe:

The domain name is identical or confusingly similar to their trademark.

You have no legitimate interest in the domain.

The domain was registered and used in bad faith (e.g., to profit from their mark).

If they succeed, you could lose the domain without compensation.

      4. Selling the Domain

If you sell nimbo.com as part of your normal domain investing activity (without targeting nimbo.earth specifically), you’re on safer ground.

But if you contact nimbo.earth and say, “I’ll sell you nimbo.com for $$$,” after they’ve filed or registered a trademark, that could be used as evidence of bad faith.

      5. Generic or Descriptive Terms

If “Nimbo” has generic or descriptive meaning (e.g. short for “nimbus,” cloud-related, etc.), you may have a stronger defense, since multiple businesses could legitimately want to use the term.
  • “Many people will say, ‘why not grab it for $10K,’ because they know that amount feels big to you — but in reality, it’s a very low price for such a meaningful and brandable asset.”
  • A name like this has strong connections to cloud computing and tech, and positioning it on Atom.com with the right keywords will bring you better exposure and higher offers.
  • Domains of this caliber are rare, and with patience, you can expect a far more substantial return than $10K.
  • Holding onto it and letting the right buyer come along is a much smarter long-term strategy than letting it go cheaply now.

Nimbus. Eh... yeah maybe cloud related. Nimbo? no. Take the 10k if they still would pay that much.
