Mike,

I'm sorry to say this but this traffic is very unlikely. Firstly there is only one click per 5000 visitors. This is usually an indication of 'ghost traffic' like image requests.
Secondly the first few days there were only a couple of dozen visitors per day. Then traffic suddenly jumps to 16,000 per day. Not very likely either.
Maybe you can give us some explanations about this traffic?

Hans

I bought a few domains from Mike, and the traffic usually disappears a few days after you pay him.

ouch, a harsh crowd... not something i wanted to wake up to

hangol, that is why i tested it at 2 other ppc places besides fabulous and both domainhop and sedo show the visitors to be actually there.... secondly, fabulous doesn't track the uniques properly the first few days if the domain is "holding redirection" without being url forwarded somewhere, once you point it somewhere it starts to count them properly.... and third of all, if you are not interested in this domain then please stay out of this sales thread --- i don't see "moderator" status next to your user name, thanks :ok:

nitronet, as i recall you bought some asian traffic names from me... i gave you a good deal on them and you were happy... you never came to me directly and told me that you were having any problems, instead you have decided to thrash my sales every now and then --- real smart.

and for the two puppets.. if you have nothing good to say please stay out of this.. i know it's tempting and fun but we have not done any business and you don't even know me.... so please, lets not waste each others time, save your time and energy.

for those people that have bought domains from me all know that i stand behind the traffic 100% --- full traffic stats provided upfront, traffic tests granted when requested, etc... and, if you are not satisfied for a valid reason i am always happy to refund your money back, doh! i do things the right way, unlike some people.

still looking for more offers... for those interested, make an offer mid-high $xxxx and if i consider you/the 'offer' worthy i will reserve you a spot to test out the traffic down the road for.... thanks

Seems like a time for intervention!

i have bought some names from this seller in the past, they still produce the same/more or slightly less results, that were originally advertised in his post for traffic and revenue.

it is the buyers responsibility to verify any claims of such, and make all necessary assurances to get the best deal thru negotiations with the seller.

these can include......

negotiating for certain guaranties of traffic or revenue over a specific time period, within the deal of purchasing.

if any member has issues with the seller, they have the option of posting in our "People to Avoid Dealing With" forum and providing the necessary proof to substantiate those claims.

other options include reporting these types of issues to forum staff in a timely basis.

please do not continue to "trash" this thread or any other sellers threads in the future.

Thanks

Mike,

I know that sales threads are normally to be 'left alone' but if claims get absolutely unrealistic then I think it is proper for people to point this out. It only improves the quality of this forum if claims like these are either clarified or withdrawn.
If you look at your stats then you will see that in the last 10 days you have had 160,000 visitors and ZERO clicks. You think that's normal?

hanogl, you are absolutely right... but you are still a little behind my friend, i mentioned that the domain has been parked with domainhop/sedo... it was only "holding redirection" over at fabulous for no more then the 2-3 days.... which never really produces any revenue (atleast for me) because of the plain generic landing page... now please stop wasting my time and go catch up somewhere else'

this whole matter smells fishy, but not as fishy as a piece of rotten salmon left in a wet tent over a weekend. that smells very fishy.

Lets give props to <b>hanogl</b> for figuring this one out. He nailed it, these are image requests.

If you dug around on the 'net you would see that the following links load an avatar off that domain:

alverde.net/forum/pop_printer_friendly.asp?TOPIC_ID=1747
alverde.net/forum/pop_printer_friendly.asp?TOPIC_ID=1809
alverde.net/forum/pop_printer_friendly.asp?TOPIC_ID=2899
alverde.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1366
alverde.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1747
alverde.net/forum/topic.asp?topic_id=1747
alverde.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1809
alverde.net/forum/topic.asp?topic_id=1809
alverde.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2899
alverde.net/forum/topic.asp?topic_id=2899

Though this might be called "ghost traffic", in Mike031's defense, real people are landing on those webpages above, so the unique ip's are correct.

I bring all this up, not to bag on Mike031, but actually to support the fact that I am interested in buying this domain. But not for the middle to high $x,xxx thats being asked.

Mike, I have/will pm you my offer.

Thanks.

In my haste, I posted the wrong links. Heres the clarification using links from your Top Referrers screenshot at http://w-www.com/tmp/6850/stats.htm.

81,607 visitors from:
http://www.upskirtitaly.net/Vidcaps.htm
This page contains the following text:
<!-- Inizio Codice Monetaclick -->
<script language='JavaScript' src='http://www.monetaweb.com/ad.php?utente=Upskirtitalynet&categoria=3&adv=1'></script>

43,432 visitors from:
http://www.giveup.it/intestaz.php
This page contains the following text:
<script language='JavaScript' src='http://www.monetaweb.com/ad.php?utente=zannafe&categoria=1&adv=1'></script>

40,236 visitors from:
http://zelig.altervista.org/zelig.htm
This page contains the following text:
<script language='JavaScript' src='http://www.monetaweb.com/ad.php?utente=zelig&categoria=1&adv=2'></script>

I could continue, but I think I've proven my point. It wasn't an avatar thats being called from monetaweb.com, as I said in my earlier post, but rather a .php ad server. This ad server doesnt exist any longer, and so the 404 page is catching these hits.

Mike031 is telling the truth when he says this domain gets 16,000 visitors a day. Only they are landing on those other websites mentioned above, not his.

I think the seller shouldnt be blamed as he wasnt lying about the hits even though they are not directly to his site.
