Hmmm....I have noticed when the panel consists of 3 members, UDRPs tend to fail...while with only 1 panelist, complainants get more lucky

Correct. Usually, three member panels are chosen by the Respondent, to avoid having the case adjudicated by an anti-domainer panelist.
 
On the other hand, there is a cost incurred for the respondent. If you accept the single panelist you pay nothing but you possibly take a risk. Always depends on the stakes, and the merits of the case.
 
I am stunned to think that someone felt rights of ownership because of their name coincidently contained the word Dune. Why (or when) did they file a claim against Frank Herbert (the author of Dune) or the subsequent movie Dune by David Lynch? Of course not...go after someone cybersquatting the name.
