Whilst i've sold a stack of domains and ignored quite a few offers from Sedo bids due to obvious low ball offers, i accepted one just 3 days ago.

And today the $$ are in my Paypal account.

Just a quick plug for Sedo here, it took just 3 days for the $$ to be in my paypal after accepting a bid, thats great stuff as far as im concerned.

Cheers
Mike

That's really good news. Happy for you!
I guess this largely depends on the buyer's speed. I bought few domains there. Usually I make payments immediately after a sale agreement is reached and I do receive domains very quickly.
Recently, I had a situation of needing some quick cash and I accept an offer through sedo (much lower than I expected) thought I would get the cash in 3-4 days. However, after 10 days I still did not receive the cash that I urgently needed. I had to liquidate many domains such as holdempoker.us $50, ArkansasCasino.com $20 etc to meet my need.
I understand that this is not caused by sedo, it is because the buyer there not paying !
A sad story of mine, wish I can cancel this particular sale agreement at sedo. My 2 cents.

yeah I think that the buyer should have a shorter time in which to transfer funds... 5 days MAX and then the buyer defaults or the buyer must pay a deposit within 24 hours. If failed then the deposit gets split between seller and sedo.

My 2 cents.

Congrats on your sale, dotcom.

I "sold" a website a month ago and a domain almost a month ago. I have yet to see a cent for either. I second namestrands suggestion... require the buyer to put up a deposit which is forfeited after so many days.
