this is about to end so i thought i would share it here too. i'll end it early if someone on here wants it instead for $200.

This basically has the potential to go viral like people of walmart and alike sites.

people of walmart dot com makes $8,000 - $10,000 USD per month in ad revenue.

Unfortunately, I built this site on a whim and just don't have time to market it and gain exposure. I think just by posting it around on social networking sites might get it to trend and go viral. I wish i had the time to baby it a little more.

You will get the entire site, database, and domain. The content can either be sent to you as a zip file so you can host it or I am willing to pay for a year of free hosting on 1and1.com or a similar hosting provider for you. The domain is registered with moniker for easy transfer.

No reserve! *shock*

it's nothing really they did it's just it cost too much to get any exposure. nobody will ever find your auction unless you spend money to promote it and anyone that knows domains, it's unlikely you have one that is awesome enough that will be worth more than getting the news out.

i read somewhere that you should bid on your own domain within the last few minutes to get the time extended and listed in the "auctions ending soon" section longer... even watch it and do it for days if need be but that's where i screwed up.

1. i bid more than the reserve so i won my own domain.
2. there's just no way i could watch it and bump it for days... if that even works

so in closing, i don't have time to baby something like that for days esp if there's not much roi and for me to advertise it cost more than i would gain.

i'm just spread too thin these days. i need to close some projects so i can get a handle on life. lol

if you have a true awesome domain and you're going to get a nice roi then maybe it's more worth it imo.

Congratulations on your win.

Maybe next time, feeling the need to commit a blatant TOS violation will not be the right lesson to draw from the lack of interest on a domain.

i agree actually.

the whole thing was done in a hurry and it is what it is.

i'm paying for my actions in one way or another.

i would still like to dump it though. ;)

At least you're a good sport. :)

We've all done things that in retrospect could have been done better.

IMO, Flippa is an absolute waste of time if you don't already have an established account.
