I agree with "Better..."

If we can't say anything "negative" why is POSITIVE allowed?

Maybe a MOD could clarify this for us?

Imagine being at a store, and someone is considering purchasing a widget-- one person next to them says "Wow, that's a fine looking widget." A person on the other side of them says, "That widget is too expensive!" -- who do you think the store owner is going to kick out of the store? Granted, we know toho doesn't "own" the sales forum, in this case; however, he does in some sense "own" his sale thread.

Another point to be made is that the people who are giving positive comments on the domains aren't saying any prices or giving appraisals; they're simply saying "Great names; Can't go wrong with a short domain; Nice names; good luck!"

If a comment doesn't hurt anybody, it is acceptable; however, if a comment damages the potential of a sale, it shouldn't be allowed.

No, i'm not a moderator, but i'm using common sense. I think positive comments should be allowed in sales threads, as long as the thread starter doesn't mind.

Merlin,

With all due respect, that's BS and you know it.

It's a SALES thread - period. BID, BUY or stay out. No comments.

And, whether it's "his" thread or not is irrelevant, the RULES are.

ANY positive comments at all is a form of "baiting," intentional or not.

And another thing... if you were interested in one of these names and wanted
to negotiate, you are NOW behind the eight ball because "a bunch of domainers"
already said it's a GREAT name...

Out of respect for the seller here, let's PM and chat or start a thread in a "chat"
area.

Mike

It's a >>> SALES <<< thread!
