Hi adill420. When I first read your post, I thought you were looking for a drop script that showed the approx. drop date, not one that snaps domain names when they drop from the registry.
But, my DueToExpire suite is good fro finding domain names that will soon drop. DueToExpire Plus was just updated to optionally check extentions, plus you can control the output results. Plus is browser-based and is great for personal use or let your own visitrs use it. Just plug in a list of domain names and it will show you the approx. drp date of each name. DueToExpire Pro is a shell script that searches Yahoo and Dmoz for domain names that will drop in a time frame that you give it. It can find every domain name that will drop over the next month, 2 months, 3 months, etc. It's output is in comma delimited format so you can import the results into a spreadsheet (Excel) and sort by date, name, etc. This will give you a heads up on quality domain names that are going to drop. It's very powerful.
I also just launched
www.pendingnow.com. It is the first service that finds domain names still listed in Yahoo and Dmoz that are in the PENDINGDELETE status. It's found some really good ones so far and these names will drop in a few days. Here's an example.
The following domain name has been placed in PENDINGDELETE status.
DATE..........: 11-mar-2003
DROPDATE......: 17-mar-2003
Domain name...: dedicated-hosting-servers.com
Title.........: Dedicated Hosting Servers
