Tough to say, but just as a name (not considering traffic) I'd say it's worth is at least 50k and I'm sure seller should have no trouble finding another buyer at 40k if need be. To the buyer, if the advertised traffic was the basis upon which you decided to buy the name, then it should probably be clarified and confirmed as legitimate visits. Good luck to both parties.

The name is easily worth way more than 40k not considering the traffic. I would have picked this one up but was a little slow on the draw. The value now is not entirely in the traffic it gets currently.

It is possible that the traffic spike was due to the hype generated by the eBay auction and this thread, 500.com has been talked about a fair bit lately... Just a guess, though...

Regardless, a great domain, and a great deal for both buyer/seller I think..
