500k offer

I have had many offers like that. All are bogus. They stopped once I started tracking IP addresses. Some people just like to play games.

the offer is complete and total BS.

first off, for that kind of money we have to be talking about some insane .com domain like save.com, and even then it's a stretch.

second of all, if someone is going to offer a figure like that, they are going to make it a round number, not some random amount.

thirdly, a buyer will never come in with a starting offer that high.

it's absurd and clearly not worth your time pursuing.

wow, let us know.

Tell him to mail you the offer. That's what I told Adam to do when he made an outlandish offer for DNF. ;)

Wow!!

I have had many goofy offers like that. I just ignore them. However, if it were a real offer, you could not go wrong using Escrow.com. They provide an excellent service. Their charges are reasonable.

Why does htis help

puts it in writing on paper with a postmark.

good idea.

ZOOBAR: you gonna give us an update?

UPDATE: Due to the absurdity of the offer and other details which pointed to it being an obvious bogus offer, I chose not to respond to the offer. I don't invision an offer of that magnitude being made in the fashion that it was.

The name the offer was made on was: Examiner.ca

It did get me thinking what would the name be worth if it had a subscribed reader base of 1000, 10,000, even 100,000 people. I hope to have this name developed in the next few months and start converting the type in traffic to subscribed readers.
