Reason: .org no longer allows 2 letters back into the pool, and soon .com and .net won't either, according to a few registrars.

Where did you hear/read about .com/.net?

Even .aero allows for 2 letters! http://www.ba.aero

I think who was right on the money, his appraisals are generally pretty much what resellers are will to pay for these domains, at the present time. I don't think he bases his appraisal on end users, but we all know that nobody knows what an enduser is willing to pay, until we find one. It would be a big mistake to get off these names at almost any price at present, in my opinion.

Reason: .org no longer allows 2 letters back into the pool, and soon .com and .net won't either, according to a few registrars. Why take the chance of selling them now, when they will only go up in price, when the market value rises, and even more if two letters can't be reregged. They are worth so much now because there are a limited number of them, and as that number gets smaller, the value will go up. HOLD.

Thank you :shy:

This thread was opened 2 month ago, you have just bumped it.
Things have changed since then. Prices go up progressively.
Buckle up (!) , we gonna see a big progress soon.

what do you mean? Not much has changed since then, and I see no sign of "big progress" ?

there are absolutely no signs of big progress.

$0 +/- reg fee

Bob! Are you stupid or something?!?!? 2 Letter names aren't worth $0 +/- reg fee......

Perhaps you are mistaken about which post your reading?

I agree with yakov on things showing improvement. Why else would everyone be cussing about NW bids skyrocketing? Either one of two things are happening, 1. The market value is rising again, or 2. Retail buyers are bidding on NW.

Just My opinion, as usual :)

On the topic of short names, I know some single .com's exist,

q.com qwest
x.com PayPal
z.com Nissan

Anyone ever run into a single leter .org? x.org is a site that has unix related programs, games, and patches. FTP only,

ftp://ftp.x.org

I've never seen a single letter .org before, wonder how many of them are out there?

OK, go ahead, I found the first one!

1-9 and A-Z with the exception of X.org all are reserved by the IANA. Furthermore it seems 0.org is not even an option :D

Great 2 letter domains Yakov - Over the years we have dealt in a number of 2 letter .coms - Use to get $50K to $100K for some, a few went for much more. MG.com - Min. $30K - UG.com - $12K - QU.COM QN.COM ZP.COM ZM.COM - $3-6K each. Best of luck with this wonderful collection. We may have someone on the whole group. I will have them contact you if they are interested. Steve (Dr Who is pretty close to the money on this board for wholesale deals I think).
