a great name, I had a very hard time getting rid of it.
finally i let it go for 20$ in the dnf auction.

The term "records" is a bit outdated. It is in the same category as "8 Track Tapes". So it's no wonder it didn't sell...

I've always said, the key to the ".ws" name is development. You will never see any of my ".ws" domains "up for sale". There worth lies in with your marketing and business plans.

As I alluded to earlier in a thread, the .ws portion of the names can be very "beneficial" when you market your sites.

Anyways, good luck to you too, and thank you as always for the honest feedback.

So I guess the Guinness Book Of Records is a book about old 7" and 12" vinyl, then? ;)

I am going off the "assumption" that most people will think of the vinyl disc when they see the term "Records" in a URL address. Sure, it can mean a book, or files, or what have you, but there isn't a lot of worth there either.

Anyway, you'd be surprised how many people still collect 'records' (of the playable kind). But 'LPs' may be a better name for a .ws site for those, or 'vinyl'.

Good luck with your .ws names!

I remember the Guiness Book of REcords. It was renamed The GUiness BOok of Tapes but that didn't last. The next thing you know it was called the Guiness Book of VHF VIdeo. I think its latest name is Guiness Book of DVD's but waht do I know, it may be already be called the Guiness Book or Ringtones.

That's progress for you...
