Have I done this correctly. I tried a valuation of my domain
anyurl.com

urlbuyers said $20,000-$30,000

mudfence said

Domain Name: anyurl.com
Key Words: any url
Google Hits: 39,900
Overture Hits: 227
Total Hits: 40,127
Market Rating: 3.0
Length: 6
Extension Rating: 5.0
Length Rating: 4
Popular Rating: 01
Composite: 3.6
High Retail: $1,300
Low Retail: $975
Wholesale: $293

I prefer urlbuyers :D

I've used the tool above. Its lacking a few important features...like search ranking for one. It has a few things I'll probably include in the next release.

"urlbuyers said $20,000-$30,000"

Was that before or after they asked for money?

Even with an MR of 5.0 it still comes out:
Domain Name: anyurl.com
Key Words: any url
Dictionary Words: 2
Total Word Score:
Extension relevance: 1
Google Hits: 40,000
Overture Hits: 227
Total Hits: 40,227
Market Rating: 5.0
Length: 6
Extension Rating: 5.0
Length Rating: 4
Popular Rating: 01
Composite: 4.4
High Retail: $8,500
Low Retail: $6,375
Wholesale: $1,913

BTW I've added new vars to the new tool. Its contains a dictionary and a few other complexities.

Cheers!

I think anyurl got appraised here at $10 :D

Does this mean I should sell it then, I was going to use it for my non-adult names list.

Mudfence - if you promise not to tell anyone, I can let you have it for $1,500.

I tried www.horny-bitch.com on your valuation prog.

Domain Name: horny-bitch.com

I like mudfence's in this case. :D

Hey mud, that is a nice online tool! It would be great if it would fetch the google and ovt results automatically too.

There's something seriously wrong with a tool which values anyurl at 4 figures. It was also well over the top with tar (amazingly the online valuation was about right).

I agree with it 100%; look at what it says about:

Domain Name: broadband.com
Key Words: broadband
Dictionary Words: 0
Total Word Score:
Extension relevance: yes
Google Hits: 5,090,000
Overture Hits: 65,296
Total Hits: 5,155,296
Market Rating: 5.0
Length: 9
Extension Rating: 5.0
Length Rating: 3
Popular Rating: 3
Composite: 4.1
High Retail: $3,000
Low Retail: $2,250
Wholesale: $675

It'd seem as if the tool is deeply flawed...

It's a great tool, maybe just needs a few tweaks in the growing process. Every machine appraisal will always need the over-riding of human intelligence to add the "human knowledge" factor.

Encourage the guy!

I agree with you Mr Web. There are always going to be some quirky names www.femfem.com for example. And what would it do with something like broadsband.com. I think it's a handy tool to give a feel for most names. Quirky or special interest names will always depend on the sales ability of the owner.
