I bought a Godday auction domain name that was an attorney site, I did not really look, I just assumed the domain name was in auction as perhaps they had went out of business, ect. I bought it for the PR and use it as a backlink to other sites. The law firm has since contact me wanting the domain back, I responded no problem but want my costs+ time invested of returning the domain to them. So far they have not contacted me back.

I am wondering as I dont think it is a trade mark, but an established business... how much leverage do they have in just taking back my domain, without paying me anything other than the cost of a registration?

How much are you asking for your time?

not enough, most would jump on this deal, they have not and its almost peanuts from them

Honestly, if there isn't a trademark... I wouldn't worry about it.
