affiliate program

Can anybody suggest how to do the following,

Suppose I enroll with CJ.com as a publisher and would want that I create a sub affiliate kind of program under me. How is such a thing possible? Any software, services available for this?? How can I track visitors from my affiliates' sites who purchase products offered by merchants on CJ by navigating through my site. How can this be efficiently done? Any idea is welcome.

im not sure what you mean by a sub affiliate under you
i was a cj publisher for a while and i think youd have to reply on their stats - i dont think it would be possible to add tracking of any sort of your own

Fonz, basically I would want to have my affiliates sell products from advertisers on CJ (say, whose affiliate I am) through my site by having a link on their site point at mine. How can I distribute the CJ commission that I generate between my affiliates according to their performance? Its like making sub affiliates of CJ through you. Any solution!!!

Why would they not sign up directly with CJ and get 100% of the commission?

Sub-affiliates are possible on CJ.com (if you read through their online help, they have tracking codes one can employ). I think you need their permission, though. Typically they'd be used for "rewards-based surfing", etc.

We have done this with several campaigns. We can track exactly what site produced the sale. I am not exactly sure what programming needs to be done but I do know it is possible.

i didnt think that would be possible so if anyone here knows how they did it i would like to know (just being nosy , dont plan on doing it myself)

When our software directs a click to cj, it adds there an extra web
parameter, like SID=12345 (if click originates from web site #12345). CJ
software then records the SID value (that can consist of up to 32 (or 16?)
alphanumeric characters) is set to cookie for the browser (together with
our numbers at cj). When sale occurs, they extract values from cookies.
latter value (our number at cj) suggests who to credit, former one (SID)
is recorded together with sale, and you can check it in sales report
(and download that database).

of course that it can be implemented. you can do a tracking program for yourself and then instead of clicking directly to qksrv.net you make a clicks to your cgi which then redirects to qksrv.

True but wont that only track the clicks? I believe the main question was tracking the sales or leads from a particular click generated at a particualr site. To do this I think you need to attach the string onto the end of the code so that when the cookie drops (or when a sale or lead has been made) it then associates that sale or lead form being generated from the location that had the certain unique string.

I may be totally wrong as I have been wrong many times before
