there are much better directories out there - for example the one which internet.com runs

this is nothing more than 2 or 3 pages with a bunch of non related affiliate programs on it

sorry to shower your parade but as far as affiliate directories go this is one of the worst ive saw

Don't be fooled by quantity. Many of the programs listed on internet.com's website are junk.

AffiliateProgram.com will focus on the real marketable lucrative opportunities.

i dont think that you should be advertising the site until it is ready then. Wait until the content is up and then launch it.
