...boy, sounds like I missed all the "Fun" at AfterNic. Someone should write a brief thread on what happened there so the wisdom isn't lost to the ages.

Not a bad idea. A way to keep track and keep in touch with the members that have left DNForum. :) Or for gregr to tell about his life "After DNF"

Everytime I read your strong comments about the new designs, I'm struck by the irony that as "wanting" as the new designs may or may not be, they're all *much* better than any of the designs I've seen on your websites. I'm left with a sardonic, though curious, grimace on my face...  :sniff, sniff: Grudge somewhere? Bad blood?

Do a forum search for Afternic. It should already be archived here for the ages.

There have been zillions of posts and threads about the old Afternic (not to be confused with the new Afternic). What incompetant poorly run poorly managed idiots they were. I did many posts myself as did many others here.

I never claimed to be a web designer.
I am a programmer and web developer.
In regards to your quoting me in your earlier post.
My comments were directed to the first new header.
It was almost 100K
The new one still bloats at 80K and could easily be optimized to 30K.

In regards to my comments or opinions.
If they bother you that much maybe you should ignore them.

JMHO
Thanks

I have no plans on development. I picked it up for "*hits and giggles". It was a play on AfterNIC.
I had no prior knowledge of the sale of DNF. It just worked out that way.
Thanks

$500+

Surely to double, at least, depending on the outcome of Sunday, 4/20 p.m. I'm hoping that's not the case, obviously.
Good Luck to all of us.

Focusing on the "cheezie" look, the irony of your comments is still there though. ;)

They did't bother me, they bemused me. No intent to "change", just "understand". I don't know why folks go from "benign" to "vitriolic" so quickly. It's a website not a baby.
