Is the reason we have a low number of domains in auction, because more active bidding will occur?... I know whenever they have 300 domains, it drags out for hours with most domains never meeting reserve.

Is this where Live auctions are going?

Less is best?

I don't know the guy who is orally describing each domain at the auction, but if he keeps saying "obviously" in every description, I'm going to scream.

Congrats, FreddyS! Most impressive! And the only name that should have been on the list as well.

I was sitting to the right of Donny at the table when he raised his bidder paddle at the 300k mark for Voodoo.com, we all did'nt even know he was going to bid on it..and from what I understand it's a pretty square deal, it's a great name and it get's nice traffic & has decent revenue as well. Names like this are a wise & steady long term investment, it's a pretty nice deal imo for the seller AND the buyer...this has been the best vacation ever...Domainer Mardi Gras was probably the best time I have EVER had anywhere. The Parked.com guys really know how to throw a party...to say the least! :peace:

From what I know of there will be an even BIGGER 2010 Domainer Mardi Gras next year, & you guys definitely don't want to miss it!

Sorry to dissapoint Randomo. Maybe we can get you on stage next time. :)
I was reluctant to emcee the event, but was the only one from DomainConsultant in attendance and letting the auctioneer make up stuff as he goes never is good. . .

Many of the names were Obvious so I guess that's why the word came out more often then not. CandyCane is obviously candy but less obviously a pornstar named that. ... etc etc. The less obvious stuff is why they wanted someone to speak about the names. I was more nervous then normal because I was twittering, answering IMs and phone calls as well as tracking the event at the same time. I did pass the twitter responsibility over to Laura next to me midway through but I still had a lot of multitasking going on that day.

Appreciate the feedback either way. I wish they had taped the event so I can see what else I need to improve on.

Dude, just wait until you see all the pictures coming soon on the domainer mardi gras website..holy s#&%!

I just got back actually, I was out on Bourbon Street all night braving the crowds of tens of thousands of party-goers..I would say about 70% are chicks and of those at least 50% are good looking, of that about 25% are smoking hot and showing their tits for beads, I got tons of pictures...this place is unreal! People really do have ALOT of fun here, it's such a great vibe! :hippie:

Next time I will be in New Orleans.

See you here next year!
