Afternic Appraisal Board 'GONE'

Afternic has dumped the appraisal's in the dumpster along with the rest of the junk.

And who told the crazy appraiser's it was coming!

You were right Americar, in predicting AN would close them all down. I should have archived mine when you first warned about it! Luckily I did archive some posts but not all.

How do you think people who did ten or twenty thousand Afternic appraisals must feel? Angry is an understatement I am sure.

The lost time and effort is amazing both for heavy forum posters and appraisors. What inconsiderate idiots they are at AN who don't give a 'Rats Ass' about thier members.

I probably should not have mentioned 'Rats Ass' as that may remind Wanda May to start her zillions of rat crap posts again here on dnforum. Hope not. LOL.

This forum has some advantages over AN such as the ability to post a clickable URL, a good benefit for many.

The way the Moderators are active here and a real name and real email address being required is a great advantage over AN. It reduces the wacko's and obscene posters, which I think may be a primary reason Afternic shuttered so much, especially the obscenities leveled against AN itself!

Also, we now have more thread categories than AN and other nifty features here, though AN's design and format was better in some ways. Nevertheless, dnforum is already valued by us and has great potential.

P.S. Thanks Wanda for telling me about the view Recent Posts capacity here, was not aware of it. I must be blind. How many appraisals did you do Wanda?

i have absolutely no clue..
and I never ever even looked at those stats..

i don't feel cheated ONLY
because... if it were NOT for my affiliation with Anic
I would have not met & gain network buddy's
who i'de give my right arm for.

a rat in the hand.. is worth more then
a dozen in the bush..

so, i gained a great deal from my time at Anic.

I know there are others, who have lost FAR more
then I have, in regards to time & energy..

rarely did i review that.

i reg. on Jan 1- 2001 as an Exchange member
and turned in over 6,500 app's
in 3.5 mths. wow.. had no clue.

I wonder if the user name ( 7th from the very bottom ) had a bearing on the decision to close the appraisal board down.

Hopefully this site will monitor names being used and will not allow such filth to be used.

One thing I'll miss about the Afternic appraisal boards is that one of my domains (actual value $100 at most) was appraised for $450,000,000. With my morgage past due, it's nice to dream ~~~

 

The Afternic, "Appraisal Board", was great for promoting names, but the appraisal figures, themselves, were worthless.
