I have not gotten my rebate e-mail yet. Has everyone else? I was in quite a few auctions with Halvarez in 2006 & 2007 - I just cant remember them all...there are a few quite memorable though and I remember the names and amounts.

Log into snap and under the my account tab go to registration history. Then go to the drop down called; "Show records from" and choose all dates.

Also you can go under payment center to financial history and do the same.

Also you can call rust cunsult at 1-888-413-5338 and ask for your order history.

:)

Actually it may never have existed. He saw the traffic and wanted me out of the auction.

As a matter of fact I remember a lot of emails from snapnames saying about potential TM issues. I bet most were bogus.

Halvarez got the TM email and ignored it. :)

Considering Nelson went this far to further revenue for snap, how many names, not just tm's but generics/company names that a party asked to be stopped or lawyer ( saw this myself ) did he go ahead and allow the auction any ways because basically he's a POS.

This guy will rot, the harm he caused goes beyond the bidders alone.

and just think, if you posted this personal inference say 1 week ago there would have been at least a couple hundred sycophants attacking you and trying to discredit you.

I have the same issue PLUS although I can access the history of a 2007 auction between halvarez and I (which I won) - yet, I received no rebate email. The pressure to regain access to all auction history MUST continue on Oversee.

This first part my be repetitive for some but a number of folks have joined the thread since I first posted . . .

There’s been quite a bit of back-and-forth here and other places about access to SnapNames bidding and order history. The truncated system, which limits view to the 24 months prior to whatever date the lookup is being performed, has been in place for the past four years, since June 2005. This was not changed recently or in response to the recent announcement.

That aside, to make sure no one thinks there’s an attempt to shield data, our technical staff is adjusting the existing system so order and bid histories are available back to August 2004, when SnapNames instituted the auction platform. We are working on that change now.

I'll post more when I know more.

Thanks

[FONT=verdana, arial, helvetica]I actually did follow the money and it leads me to 3 places:

1. Answerable
2. Moniker
3. Dotster

I would not be surprised if they all had a shill bidder, especially Answerable. Even today at ****Names I had a bidder I suspected all along. I played with the backorder on a domain that no one was ordering. I was all alone, so I deleted it at 11:30 and added back in the last minute. Boom, there comes the f....er. 2 bidders and I'm leading all the sudden. How did he get in front of me? I'll post the name once I confirm.

I need to verify this with another guy, but if it's not him there is no one else that would order this domain as I was the last guy in.

I got my rebate email around 9 am my time today, about 10 hrs ago. The thing I don't get is why I can not go past 2007 in my order history? I was able to see all my history since the auction setup on snapnames started. Now I can't.

Rob, is this a scripted response or have you been a long time employee at Snapnames? Because I can ASSURE you that full auction history going back to day 1 of one's account WAS available in 2006 and 2007 and perhaps during the best part of 2008. Enough with this madness already. But it's good to hear Snapnames will roll it back in place. That's the first step to establishing a means of cross-checking the cases not yet processed by Rust Consulting.

first point, can someone in the states who has been affected please pick up the phone and actually get the police informed? as oversee are covering up christ knows what
it reminds me of when the freedom of information act was due to come in and every light was on in the mi5 building in London with the press camped outside while the civil servants were rapidly shredding everything!

anyway, this was posted on another forum:

It is open season for duck hunting.

The entire Brady Bunch is online - courtesy of their campaign contributions.

See that Texas address? Now I know why all those dropped names got caught by some guy in Texas. Looks like the whole family may have been involved.

$661,000 House. I guess that is the least you can recover. But wait, there is Oversee.net! They have $200 million!

i can feel a new story on domain gang entitled 'the brady bunch'

seriously though, this sucks. the police need to be involved to stop assets getting salted away. oversee are already guilty of corporate negligence, imo new charges are being added daily and the more their 'spindoctors' come on here, the more they are cocking up.
read the thread through. either these support people are stupid or lying. or both

I looked up the info at Clark County, WA records and it appears the house was bought in 1997 - in which case one should not consider this an asset acquired with any proceeds from the Snapnames shill bidding. But yeah, it's a nice house.

Hi Stewie,

The delay is related to the same reasons it was originally truncated. This is a lot of information and we don't want time-outs or server crashes. It's challenging enough for everyone. We expect a lot of demands for a lot of data so the tech team is doing its best to meet that anticipated need.

It's simple, Rob.

You create the data output once offline, in flat files, and link them to the live servers once done. Hey presto, no need for dynamic database queries that can kill a server's performance.
